Humanitas Welcomes Nancy Gentile

Gentile Brings Evaluation, Education and Accreditation Expertise to Firm

HUMANITAS, INC. APPOINTS NANCY O’CONNELL GENTILE AS NEW
EDUCATION AND EVALUATION SPECIALIST

(Silver Spring, MD --- April 21, 2009)  Humanitas announced the addition of Nancy O’Connell Gentile as its Education and Evaluation Specialist. In this newly created position Ms. Gentile will be responsible for expanding the range of educational programs offered by Humanitas with a focus on increasing grant and contract opportunities in the academic sector; increasing certification designations for Humanitas educational programs; and advancing new business partnerships.

Ms. Gentile brings more than 25 years of experience in the field of curricula development, academic partnerships, competency-based apprenticeship programs, evaluation, research and accreditation. Prior to joining Humanitas, Inc., she was an independent consultant and served as academic affairs coordinator for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Finishing Trades Institute in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Gentile also designed curriculum programs for returning adult students and was responsible for record enrollment and graduation rates when she was vice president for the National Labor College, George Meany Center for Labor Studies.  She has served as project manager for health and safety training for workers responsible for rebuilding New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, authored new national standards for apprenticeship programs, and acted as primary liaison to private sector clients such as 3M Corporation to customize training.
