ePanel© was developed through a Small Business Innovation Research Grant (SBIR) program in the 1990's. ePanel© has been in continuous use by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to facilitate peer reviews for adult and pediatric cancer research. ePanel© can be used for independent reviews (field reviews), collaborative meetings (panel reviews), and face-to-face conferences. Web-based Content Management Systems (CMS) provide portal-based site for public and private knowledge development and exchange. Collaborators, who may not be knowledgeable in website design or HTML, can easily create, modify, and remove content from a site without the cost associated with a dedicated webmaster.
